Rainblood: Town of Death | Shadows of Betrayal (2010)
In a land where blood rains and betrayal flows through every vein, only one man can uncover the hidden truths: Soul, a swordsman whose past is steeped in blood and treachery.
Enter the City of Death: Soul’s Journey Begins
Set in a dark, fantastical world inspired by Chinese mythology and wuxia novels, players control Soul, a former member of a secretive organization. Betrayed by his comrades and labeled a traitor, Soul ventures to the city of Pang, nearly deserted due to plague, in search of Xuanyu, a former tracker and current spouse of his best friend Shang, the current leader of the organization.
Memories in the Mist: Confronting the Past
In Pang, Soul faces old enemies and former friends who have turned into killers. Witnessing the murder of a little girl whose laughter still echoes in his memory, Soul is drawn into a conspiracy far deeper than he ever imagined.
Dark and Artistic Narrative
Built with RPG Maker, Rainblood: Town of Death presents a handcrafted, visually striking world. The story unfolds over a single day in a deserted town, yet through non-linear storytelling and cinematic montage, the game offers an experience akin to an artistic masterpiece.
Combat System: Eastern Swordsmanship
Inspired by wuxia literature, the game’s combat emphasizes strategic swordplay. Players control only Soul but must carefully select and sequence skills to effectively confront enemies, blending precision, timing, and tactical planning.
